Oct 18, 2006 (newstodate): The Serb airline JAT has announced the opening of its secondary hub at Nis Constantine the Great Airport.
JAT intends to offer routes from Nis to a number of European destinations, including Zurich, Basel, Vienna, Frankfurt and Dusseldorf.
Nis Constantine the Great Airport was re-opened after years of civil wars on October 12, 2003, reconstructed after investments from Norway of four million euro, and the city of Nis investing a further 30 million dinars.
In 2005, the airport generated about 27,000 passengers and 450 tonnes of air cargo.
