Oct 2, 2006 (newstodate): Hungarian carrier Malev has decided to increase its long-range aircraft capacity.
The carrier currently operates two Boeing 767-200 aircraft that will be phased out after next year's summer program.
Instead the airline will receive three Boeing 767-300 aircraft on a lease arrangement, with the first aircraft to be delivered 2007 and the remaining to follow in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
With the replacement, Malev will gain longer range, as well as more passenger and air cargo capacity on its intercontinental routes.
