Oct 27, 2006 (newstodate): The president of Azerbaijan is soon to offically open the new modern passenger terminal at Gyanja Airport.
The airport, serving the main city of the western region of Azerbaijan, is home base of Turan Air, the country's first privately-owned airline with four TU-154M aircraft in its fleet.
The network of Turan Air comprises flights from Gyanja to Moscow Domodedovo Airport and, from December 2 this year, twice-weekly flights to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport.
Turan Air also operates flights from Baku to Ekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.
