Oct 26, 2006 (newstodate): Under its new ownership since earlier this month by UK Indian-born resident Harjinder Singh Sidhu, Air Slovakia seems to heading for a bright future.
Already in 2007, Air Slovakia will reportedly receive two more MD-83 aircraft on a lease agreement with Pembroke Aircraft Leasing, to be introduced on new routse from Bratislava to Athens and Barcelona.
One Boeing 757 and one Boeing 767 will be added as well and introduced on routes to Amritsar and Toronto, and also in the pipeline are plans for routes to Delhi and Dakar.
Since February, 2005, Air Slovakia has operated a route connecting the Italian airport near Milan, Orio al Serio International Airport, and Amritsar in Punjab, India, with a one-hour stop at Bratislava.
