Oct 4, 2006 (newstodate): Airbus has acknowledged further delays by up to a year in its A380 deliveries.
Under the latest schedule, only one A380 will be delivered in 2007 against nine announced earlier this year, 13 in 2008, down from 35, 25 in 2009, and 45 in 2010.
The single largest customer, Emirates with orders for 45 A380 aircraft can now expect a further ten-months delay in the delivery of its first aircraft, slated to happen in August 2008.
With orders for a total of 21 A380, Singapore Airlines was to receive its first A380 this year but will now have to wait till October 2007.
Qantas now expects its first delivery by August 2008, with a further four aircraft to follow by the end of 2008, and seven by the middle of 2009.
Having ordered a total of 15 A380, Lufthansa will receive its first unit by Summer 2009, one year behind schedule.
Air Frances first of ten A380 ordered will be delayed until Spring 2009.
Finally Virgin Atlantic, holding orders for six A380, and the leasing company IFLC with orders for 10 units, are still to announce their latest delivery schemes and response to the delays.
