Jan 25, 2006 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines has now opened its new route between Istanbul and Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The route will be operated thrice weekly with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
In 2006 the airport of Ljubljana plans for a five percent increase in passenger volumes, a a six percent increase in aircraft operations, and a four percent increase in cargo volumes.
Ljubljana is targetting a cargo volume at 15,000 tonnes by 2010, while so far the cargo volumes have been slightly above 12,000 tonnes per year.
