Jan 5, 2006 (newstodate): Slovakian lcc SkyEurope refutes any rumours about inadequate financing, and claims to be in excellent shape.
-Anyone can easily verify SkyEurope's position as we are public company now, says Pavol Mlady, SkyEurope Commercial Manager.
-We made a successful IPO in September, 2005, which raised in total 78 million euro out of which 60 million is fresh new capital to the company. It is about three times more than previous investment into the company between 2002 and 2005, he says.
SkyEurope added 11 new routes to seven European destinations during this winter's program, and in 2005 signed an agreement with Boeing and GECAS comprising 16 firm Boeing 737-700 orders for aircraft to be delivered in 2006 and 2007, and 16 options for aircraft to be delivered in 2008 and 2009.
