Jan 10, 2006 (newstodate): On January 10, Siberia Airlines carried out its first flight between Moscow and Barnaul with Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
The route was opened last year with Airbus A310 aircraft, and the two types will now alternate on the route.
Siberia Airlines received its first Boeing 737-500 in May, 2005 on a lease arrangement, and now operates a total of eight aircraft of this type, poised to eventually replace the TU-154 aircraft.
The carrier also now operates a total of three Airbus A310 aircraft.
