Jan 19, 2006 (newstodate): In 2005, the Slovenian airline Adria Airways carried more than 3,000 tonnes of cargo.
Until the end of August, air cargo was a declining business at Adria Airways as the carrier operates a fleet of regional aircraft with limited cargo capacity.
Since September, 2005, the negative trend has been reversed, however, as the airline introduced two new cargo routes operated with a chartered Let-410 freighter: the LjubljanaSarajevo route since September, and the LjubljanaFrankfurt route since November 28, 2005.
Volumes thus grew by eight percent to 285 tonnes in November, and by three percent to 300 tonnes in December.
