Jan 18, 2006 (newstodate): Faced with allegations by Lithuanian forwarders of blurred borderlines between its freight forwarding and GSA activities, Konekta Cargo maintains a "no comment" policy.
-We have already spoken to newstodate on this issue before and have no further comments, says Marat Barkovsky, Konekta Cargo managing director.
He also refuses to comment on the fact that the domain name of the Lithuanian cargo GSA, AAS, was registered by Konekta Cargo, indicating a joint ownership relation between the two companies as alleged by Lithuanian forwarders.
Konekta Cargo was today named cargo GSA for British Airways World Cargo in Lithuania, and also serves as GSA for Finnair Cargo.
In its capacity as freight forwarder, Konekta Cargo acts as Cargo Sales and Forwarding agent for airlines including SAS, Lithuanian Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Estonian Air, Aeroflot, LOT, Czech Airlines, airBaltic, and Air France in the Lithuanian market.
