Jan 10, 2006 (newstodate): Lufthansa Cargo is "very satisfied" with its performance in the Norwegian market, 2005.
-The introduction in 2005 of our freighter service, together with Japan Airlines, from Oslo to Nagoya, Japan, has been very well received in Norway, with a high load factor from day one, says Ulrich Link, Lufthansa Cargo manager Nordic & Baltic regions.
-In addition we have also succeeded in growing our volumes of Norwegian salmon exports on our tri-partite freighter services from Gothenburg, so increasing our total volumes in 2005 means that we have not just been competing against ourselves in the Norwegian market, he says.
-But Norway is more than fresh salmon, although this constitutes the major part of the total export. We have also seen an increase in shipments of goods relating to the off-shore industries and ships spare parts that is always time-definite shipments
