Jan 19, 2006 (newstodate): Iceland's first lcc company, Iceland Express has named Aviareps its passenger GSA in Sweden.
Operating since February 27, 2003, with daily services to Reykjavik from London Stansted and Copenhagen, the carrier added three weekly flights from Frankfurt Hahn from May 2005.
In May 2006 Iceland Express will launch new connections from Friedrichshafen in Southwest Germany as well as from Berlin Schoenefeld.
In Sweden, two flights per week will be offered from Gothenburg and four services from Stockholm Arlanda.
No details have yet been published on the choice of cargo GSA in the Swedish market.
From January 1, 2006, the Danish cargo GSA, Proactive Airline Services was appointed cargo GSA for Iceland Express in Iceland, taking over responsibility for all cargo-related issues for Iceland Express in Iceland, including import as well as export.
Proactive Airline Services is also cargo GSA for the carrier in the Danish market.
