Jan 25, 2006 (newstodate): From October 3, Emirates will start operations between Scandinavia and Dubai.
Initially the airline will offer four weekly flights between Dubai and Copenhagen, increasing to daily operations from October 29.
Emirates will operate an Airbus A330-200 aircraft, offering 14 tonnes of cargo capacity in the Scandinavian market to supplement the existing freight-only service to Gothenburg in Sweden.
Between February 2006 and the launch of services to Copenhagen in October, the airline has announced plans to launch services to Thiruvananthapuram in India, and Abidjan in Cote D'Ivoire from February, Hamburg in Germany, and Kolkata in India by March, Nagoya in Japan by June, and Beijing in China by September.
By the end of 2006 Emirates will thus be servicing more than 85 destinations in 57 countries worldwide.
