Jan 20, 2006 (newstodate): 2005 was another good year for Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
Total passenger volumes increased by 15.7 percent, to 13,960,000 passengers, with the highest growth rate on routes to London, Brussels, Zurich, Barcelona, Tel Aviv, Tashkent, Hurghada and Dubai.
Passenger volumes on international routes grew by 23.3 percent, while volumes on domestic routes were up by 7.3 percent.
The airport is now rated by ACI Europe as No. 1 in its category - airports with between 10 and 25 million passengers- and is the leader as to traffic growth in 2005.
