Jan 12, 2006 (newstodate): JAT admits to have seen little outside interest towards the divisions that are to be corporatised.
The corporatisation is a crucial part of the efforts to privatise the state-owned airline.
The government of Serbia has appointed IFC, the private sector arm of the World Bank, as lead advisor in the restructuring of JAT Airways, and IFC will provide the government with a review of the airline and the sector, identifying critical issues and suggesting recommendations aimed at transforming JAT into a viable enterprise through private sector participation.
So far, JAT has only succeeded in corporatising its technical services under the name Jat Tehnika d.o.o.
