Jan 27, 2006 (newstodate): Privatisation of state-owned aviation-related companies in Kazakhstan is on the agenda.
Among Kazakh airports poised for privatisation are Almaty International Airport, Aulie Ata Airport, Sary-Arka Airport, Akzhol International Airport, Petropavlovsk International Airport, and Atyrau International Airport.
Also the Kazakh airline Kokchetav Avia is found on the list of proposed privatisation items.
While these companies have been cited by the Kazakh prime minister, the privatisation drive is being questioned by opposition party politicians.
