Jan 30, 2006 (newstodate): From this spring, Latvian airline airBaltic will receive its eigth Boeing 737-500, allowing it to add ten new routes.
From Riga, direct flights will be opened to six new locations: Baku, Bergen, Dusseldorf, Tbilisi, Simferopol and Warsaw.
From Vilnius, direct flights will be opened to Budapest, Dusseldorf, Stockholm and Warsaw.
airBaltic flights from Riga to Dusseldorf will begin on March 1, 2006, and will be operated four times per week.
On March 26, airBaltic will open flights from Riga to Warsaw six times per week.
Twice-weekly flights from Riga to Simferopol in the Ukrainian Crimea are planned to start on April 11, and thrice-weekly flights from Riga to Bergen will be launched on April 14.
Pending confirmation of traffic rights from the Georgian authorities, airBaltic plans to open twice-weekly flights to Baku and Tbilisi in May.
This spring, therefore, airBaltic will offer direct flights on 45 routes, 30 of them out of Riga, and 15 out of Vilnius.
