Jan 2, 2006 (newstodate): Aeroflot is planning for new routes and increased frequency on many existing routes in 2006.
Among the new routes to be opened in 2006 are flights from Moscow to Krasnoyarsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, and frequency will be increased on services to Beijing, Shanghai, Simferopol, Baku, Athens, Belgrade, Dusseldorf and Vienna.
The airline will launch domestic servicers to St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Volgograd, Irkutsk, and Novosibirsk, while services, disrupted by the grounding in 2005 of the IL-96 fleet, will be resumed to Hanoi, Vietnam.
