SEP 14, 2005 (newstodate): By the start of 2005, the Russian airline cargo Top 10 was headed by Aeroflot as the undisputed market leader with 145,460 tonnes of cargo and mail in 2004, says a study provided by AsstrA Associated Traffic AG,

Second on the list came Volga-Dnepr with 80,310 tonnes of cargo and mail, international and domestic combined.
The next eight airlines listed are clustering with much lower volumes in 2004.
Third is East Line (33,770 tonnes), followed by Atlant-Sojuz (31,200), Polet Cargo Airlines(27,790), Alrosa Avia (25,160), Sibir (22,910), Tesis (19,840), Aviakon Tsitotrans (exact data withheld), and Krasnoyarsk Airlines (16,340).
Dynamics in cargo volumes delivered over the period of 2001-2004 was continuously positive in the case of Aeroflot and Volga-Dnepr, with the latter registering tremendous growth rates.
Both airlines increased cargo and mail volumes transported in 2002 (Aeroflot +7.8 percent and Volga-Dnepr +112.5 percent), in 2003 (Aeroflot +4.3 percent and Volga-Dnepr +15.4 percent) and in 2004 (Aeroflot +27.4 percent, and Volga-Dnepr +26.6 percent).
East Line increased cargo volumes by 145 percent in 2002, dipped 20.2 percent in 2003 and recovered in 2004 with an increase by 7.7 percent compared to results in 2002.
