SEP 22, 2005 (newstodate): SAS has signed a new long-term agreement worth more than SEK 100 million over a period of eight years for the delivery of the Swedish Carmen Crew Management system.
-We initially went looking for one integrated production system for Network, Crew and Traffic in order to reduce IT-costs. However, we can save an addition SEK 29 million per year, through upgrading the current Network Traffic platform and switching from using a large number of legacy systems to use the one Carmen Crew Management system, says Bettina Hammargren, SAS Director Production Systems.
The system will be fully implemented over a period of 24 months.
