SEP 14, 2005 (newstodate): Romania's Timisoara International Airport is expecting significant airfreight growth these years.
Air cargo volumes are estimated to grow by 44 percent this year, to 1,500 tonnes, and by 46 percent next year, to 2,200 tonnes.
With a 3,500 m runway, the airport is CAT III equipped and served by TNT, UPS, FedEx and Tristar as for cargo and express business.
Airlines serving Timisoara include Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Tarom, Carpatair, Malev, and Alitalia.
