SEP 12, 2005 (newstodate): Hungarian low cost carrier WISS Air is reportedly planning to add Kaunas, Lithuania, as a new destination.
Sources say the carrier will offer six weekly flights to Kaunas from its base at Warsaw, Poland, while no official launch date has yet been announced.
Another lcc, Ryanair, has already firmed up plans to start operations from London Stansted to Kaunus and other new destinations including Lodz and Poznan in Poland between September 22 and October 30, 2005.
The privately owned Kaunas-based airline Air Lithuania also operates out of Kaunas and Palanga, Lithuania, to Hamburg, Oslo and Billund, using ATR42-300 aircraft.
