SEP 12, 2005 (newstodate): The privatisation process is secured after Hungarian airport workers have called a strike threatening to close down operations from Sunday.
The workers accepted a last-minute deal including a 10 percent wage increase and there will be no disruption of traffic.
Five bidders must now deliver their final bids for 75 percent of the airport's shares by November 2.
The shortlist comprises the British BAA, Copenhagen Airports, Fraport and Deutsche Bank, Hochtief AirPort and Hochtief AirPort Capital, and the Hungarian investment company Wallis.
