SEP 20,2005 (newstodate): Celebrating more than 46 years of scheduled air services between Vienna and Moscow, Austrian Airlines has officially named an Airbus A319 aircraft "Moscow".
Austrian Airlines is the first foreign airline to name one of its aircrafts after the city of Moscow, celebrating the event on September 17 with attendance bythe Austrian Ambassador, the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta and high-ranking representatives of the Russian Civil Aviation Authority, Aeroflot and the airport Sheremetievo.
Austrian Airlines now operates up to four daily flights to Moscow under a code-share agreement with Aeroflot.
