SEP 16, 2005 (newstodate): Air Moldova has named Transnautic Aero its cargo GSA for Germany.
In July this year Air Moldova started operating four weekly Airbus A320 flights to Frankfurt, later expanding to six rotations and already preparing to add a seventh flight when a suitable slot becomes available.
Before the start of the Frankfurt operations, Amsterdam was Air Moldova's only destination in western Europe.
The carrier experienced a drastic shake-up in February this year when Moldova's CAA sacked the airline's Director General, Dorin Timciuk, four main departments heads, and four other key management persons citing general dissatisfaction with the top management's handling of affairs, notably financial issues, besides criticising the general working culture of the company.
