AUG 16, 2005 (newstodate): In Moscow, the MAKS-2005 international air show will open in Zhukovsky today.
Some 520 Russian and 134 foreign companies will particapate in the exhibition, and Russia hopes to see the signing of a number of contract for delivery of new aircraft, including orders from Aeroflot and Sibir Airlines for the Russian Regional Jet, RRJ, and from Aerosvit and Pulkovo for the An-148.
Chinese airlines are also expected to sign up for new Russian-built aircraft.
