AUG 03, 2005 (newstodate): On August 9, the line of participants in the tender for Budapest Ferihegy Airport will narrow down to three or four contenders that will be shortlisted to deliver their final bids.
Among the bidders in the current round are Copenhagen Airport, Fraport, the British CAA, the Spanish Ferrovial Aeropuertos, Hochtief, the British Terra Firma Investment, Corporacion America, the Australian Macquarie Airports, a consortium comprising Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Spain's Abertis, Aena Internacional and TBI, Aeroporto di Venezia Marco Polo, the Turkish TAV Tepe-Akfen-Vie, and Aeroporto di Venezia.
The Hungarian state will accept bids for 75 percent of the shares while retaining full ownership of airport property and infrastructure.
