AUG 19, 2005 (newstodate): With the first flight planned for September 27, Lufthansa Cargo's MD-11F will open a new twice-weekly freighter route between Frankfurt and Nagoya via Oslo Gardermoen.
The new route is a joint venture between Lufthansa Cargo and Japan Airlines that share the buld of the capacity, with SAS Cargo taking a minor share between Oslo and Japan.
In consequence, the current five times-weekly tri-partite freighter operated by the three airlines between Gothenburg and Osaka will be cut in frequency, with the final schedule yet to be announced.
