AUG 11, 2005 (newstodate): After the acquisition by the A. P. Mller - Mrsk A/S of Royal P&O Nedlloyd, completed today, it will be "business as usual" for Martinair, part of the package.
-We have taken over Martinair, and will from now on watch the company closely through our participation on the Board, says Jette Clausen, A. P. Mller - Mrsk A/S Sen VP, Corporate Communications.
As the new owner has thus not replaced the existing Martinair Board, the intention seems to be to continue "business as usual".
A. P. Mller - Mrsk A/S now owns 50 percent of the shares of Martinair, with the remaining half held by KLM/Air France.
