AUG 03, 2005 (newstodate): The Slovak low cost carrier SkyEurope is blazing new trails by signing a contract with Leisure Cargo for total cargo management, marketing, sales and cargo handling across the route network.
Based on this agreement, SkyEurope Airlines will dedicate cargo capacity on its regular scheduled flights to Leisure Cargo, thus adding air cargo to its business.
-Our cooperation agreement with Leisure Cargo will add new cargo destinations to the European network, with direct connections from main European metropolitan areas to the Central European markets. With our new cargo business, we are not only enhancing our product portfolio, but will generate another important source for ancillary revenues, says Christian Mandl, SkyEurope CEO.
Leisure Cargo already serves Air Europe, LTU, Belair, Iberworld, Volare Airlines, East African, Islas Airways, Eurofly, and Holland Exel.
SkyEurope currently operates a fleet of 15 aircraft on 52 routes to 28 destinations in 16 countries.
