AUG 22, 2005 (newstodate): Icelandair Cargo has a challenging year as cargo volumes continue to drop.
During this year's first seven months the total volume of air cargo was down 1.8 percent to 21.374 tonnes, following on a half year-decline by 0.3 percent.
In July, total volumes fell 10.7 percent to 2,811 tonnes against 3.156 last year, the company says.
The decline reflects the drop in Icelandic export cargo to the USA due to the infavorable currency imbalance.
