AUG 26, 2005 (newstodate): Finnair Technical Services has landed a maintenance agreement with World Airways covering the airline's DC-10 and MD-11 aircraft maintenance.
The agreement further deepens the cooperation between the two parties, with World Airways earlier assigning Finnair with line maintenance works.
Finnair Technical Services is currently performing airframe maintenance and painting for one of the airline's MD-11s over a three week period, while a World Airways DC-10 recently spent two weeks in Finland undergoing a similar maintenance check.
Finnair Technical Services earlier reported Boeing MD-11 and DC-10 maintenance contracts with American Gemini Air Cargo and Dutch Martinair worth several million euros, while signing a maintenance agreement earlier this month worth over a million euros on the overhaul of the landing gear Air New Zealand's seven ATR72-500 aircraft.
