AUG 23, 2005 (newstodate): SWE FLY has contracted Air Dubrovnik to provide feeder services betwen UK and Sweden to its Pakistan services.
Air Dubrovnik thus operates four times weekly between London Luton Airport and Leeds and Skavsta, from where SWE FLY's Boeing 747-200 flies to and from Lahore.
-We are currently seeking another Boeing 747-200 to open our new route, from December 18, to Bangkok, says Christer Andersson, SWE FLY airport Manager.
-So far regularity on the route to and from Lahore with one Boeing 747 has operated flawlessly, with a high regularity and no cancellations, but we do have a contract with another operator to provide redundancy, he says.
According to Mr Andersson, flights from Lahore have also been fully loaded with air cargo, especially textiles, carpets and perishables from Pakistan to Europe.
SWE FLY has contracted Maersk Air Cargo to provide cargo GSA services across the network including Sweden, Denmark, Norway, UK, and Pakistan.
