AUG 16, 2005 (newstodate): Aeroflot is steadily expanding its cargo services between Moscow and Helsinki, and plans to add its fourth weekly operation from the start of October this year.
After prolonged negotiations, Aeroflot obtained traffic rights from Finland last summer, initially operating two weekly regular scheduled DC-10-30F services that were later increased with a scheduled charter operation.
-85 percent of our traffic is Finnish exports to Russia of which 90 percent are destined for Moscow and the remaining 10 percent is primarily destined for other Russian destinations beyond Moscow, says Alexander Piven, Aeroflot Finland general manager.
