JUL 01, 2005 (newstodate): On June 28, newstodate carried a story under this headline.
No evidence has, however, been established the correctness of the information in the last paragraphs of shared ownership between Konekta Cargo and AAS, the Lithuanian cargo GSA.
newstodate therefore recalls this information and duly changes the wording of the story, as below:
JUN 28, 2005 (newstodate): Facing a new round of consistent criticism of irregular cargo GSA business conduct in the Lithuanian market, SAS Cargo will meet with forwarders in early August.
-There should be no doubt that good and confident relations with freight forwarders are crucial to SAS Cargo in the Lithuanian as in any other market, says Marianne Hurtig, SAS Cargo area manager.
-I will therefore meet with Lithuanian forwarders in Palanga on August 8, as with forwarders in Vilnius at a date yet to be settled.
-If anyone can present evidence that we have a problem with our cargo GSA in Lithuania I will indeed take corrective action. But so far I have no evidence to prove that this should be the case, she says.
In Lithuania, SAS Cargo, as well as Icelandair Cargo, is represented by GSA company Alpha Airline Services, established in July, 2004, and headed by Daiva Palm, a former SAS Cargo staff.
