JUL 08, 2005 (newstodate): JAT has corporatised its technical services under the name Jat Tehnika d.o.o.
The new company has now received all non-financial assets from the mother company, including buildings, tools and equipment and some 950 employees have been transferred from the airline company to the new entity as well.
The new set-up will enable JAT Tehnika d.o.o to seek certification on a range of aircraft types not necessarily operated by JAT, and this may pave the way for 3rd party aircraft maintenance work.
The corporatisation is part of the ongoing work to relaunch and consolidate the airline after a long period of industrial strife and political vicissitudes that broght traffic to a halt on several occasions.
