JUL 07, 2005 (newstodate): Ethiopian Airlines Cargo is currently operating a series of charter operations from Stockholm Arlanda, Sweden, to Addis Abeba, Etniopia.
The operations, handled by the airport's Cargo Center, started this spring, and so far more than 10 flights by Ethiopian's Boeing 757-200F have been performed, each lifting some 40 tonnes of Ericsson shipments as part of the company's delivery of hardware for the country's new national cellular phone network.
The carrier is amidst a program to convert a total of three Boeing 757 passenger aircraft into freighters.
