JUL 01, 2005 (newstodate): Timisoara-based Romanian carrier Carpatair plans to add its first jet aircraft to its fleet from this summer.
In talks with aircraft lease companies and airlines, Carpatair is considering the choice between Embraer 145, Boeing 737-500, and Fokker 100 aircraft to complement its fleet of six SAAB 240 and six SAAB 2000 aircraft.
Romania expects to be admitted to the EU by 2007 and is planning for growth in air transportation during the coming years.
