JUL 08, 2005 (newstodate): We have had no problems with GSAs in Lithuania, but are open to discussing with freight forwarders any concerns that they may have, says Beata Rosa-Szypula, BAWC general manager Eastern Europe.
-Until 2000 we offered air cargo services in Lithuania and signed a GSA contract with Konekta that remains in force while suspended until we returned to Lithuania with passenger flights again this spring, says Mrs Rosa-Szypula.
-From our earlier experience we had no problems with, nor complaints from Lithuanian freight forwarders as to alleged lack of GSA neutrality, so once BAWC cargo services are reintroduced in Lithuania I see no reason why we would need to change GSA.
-Also as the market in Lithuania is rather limited, there is hardly much choice in this respect.
-But I can promise Lithuanian forwarders that if there is anything they would like to discuss with us, I am more than willing to listen and share their concerns. We are always happy to meet and discuss with our customers, she says.
