JUN 22, 2005 (newstodate): France and Taiwan will cooperate to ensure aviation safety.
At a meeting on June 17 between Taiwan's Minister of Transportation & Communications and his French counterpart, the parties agreed to work towards the signing of a bilateral aviation safety agreement, BASA, between the two countries.
The work will now be put on the agenda of the two countries' civil aviation authorities.
The Taiwanese minister visited France in connection with the delivery of the fourth of a series of eight Airbus A330-300 aircraft ordered by China Airlines.
