JUN 01, 2005 (newstodate): For the second consecutive year, the London-based Institute of Transport Management has named Swissport Global Ground Handling Company of the Year.
The nomination is based on over 500 interviews conducted throughout the industry.
The process includes 540 calls to various airports and airlins over a 6 month period. 85 percent of calls were in the very good to excellent range; 28 visits and calls to airports - all replies were in the very good to excellent range; eight spot checks - these are detailed more full, but all were in the range good to excellent.
Swissport is currently amidst a major global expansion process, including the recent acquisition of a major shareholding in a ground services company operating at Seoul.
