JUN 20, 2005 (newstodate): Danish operator Sun-Air has decided to acquire its first jet aircraft, a DO 328.
-As the aircraft will be the first in Danish registration, the process of type certification will start now, and we expect the aircraft to begin commercial operations by August, says Kristian Tvergaard, Sun-Air VP commercial.
Sun-Air acquired two Dornier 328 aircraft from AvCraft for delivery in 2004, and has signed a lease contract for a further six aircraft delivered since the start of this year.
No specific routes to be served by the DO 328 Jet have yet been announced, and it will initially be employedfor corporate transport purposes, but Sun-Air may add more aircraft of this type and announce new longer-range destinations, the company says.
