JUN 13, 2005 (newstodate): The Macedonian state and Siemens have signed an Agreement for Strategic Cooperation.
The agreement marks Siemens' decision to establish a firm foothold in Macedonia, and comprises joint concepts on concrete infrastructure projects within production and transport of energy, telecommunications, medical technique, security, transport and airports.
Siemens has already delivered a range of systems to Macedonian airports including new airfield ligthing system at Ohrid Airport in autumn 2004, and from 1996 to 1998 Siemens also modernized the airport of Skopje, the Macedonian capital
