JUN 10, 2005 (newstodate): In a surprising move, Russia's second largest carrier, Siberia Airlines will pull out from Armavia in which is holds a majority share.
Siberia Airlines will transfer its rights to LTD Mika Armenia Trading, and the Armenian government has taken steps to formalise the transaction.
After a year of expansion in 2004, Armavia is now focussing on launching and developing the existing agreements and routes.
IOn 2004, Armavia lifted a total of 431,000 passengers, up 42 percent, and generated 1,500 tonnes of air cargo, representing an increase of 40 percent.
The fleet currently comprises four A320, one TU-134 and An-24 aircraft.
