JUN 06, 2005 (newstodate): On October 31, London City Airport lands a new operator as British Airways launches a new route to Copenhagen.
The route will be operated by BA franchise carrier, Sun-Air that has been flying for BA since 1996.
Sun-Air acquired two Dornier 328 aircraft from AvCraft for delivery in 2004, and has signed a lease contract for a further six aircraft delivered since the start of this year.
-A route between London City Airport and Copenhagen has long been a priority for us. We only needed the right time to start, and the right aircraft type for the route, says Niels Sundberg, Sun-Air owner and CEO.
