JUN 28, 2005 (newstodate): Facing a new round of consistent criticism of irregular cargo GSA business conduct in the Lithuanian market, SAS Cargo will meet with forwarders in early August.
-There should be no doubt that good and confident relations with freight forwarders are crucial to SAS Cargo in the Lithuanian as in any other market, says Marianne Hurtig, SAS Cargo area manager.
-I will therefore meet with Lithuanian forwarders in Palanga on August 8, as with forwarders in Vilnius at a date yet to be settled.
-If anyone can present evidence that we have a problem with our cargo GSA in Lithuania I will indeed take corrective action. But so far I have no evidence to prove that this should be the case, she says.
In Lithuania, SAS Cargo, as well as Icelandair Cargo, is represented by GSA company Alpha Airline Services, a subsidiary of the Lithuanian freight forwarding company, Konekta Cargo.
AAS was established in July, 2004, and headed by Daiva Palm, a former SAS Cargo staff.
