JUN 27, 2005 (newstodate): The Russian government has annnounced intentions of selling its stakes in a number of Russian airlines.
The stakes involved comprises 25.5 percent in Siberia Airlines, 75 percent in Ryazan Air Transport, 75 percent in Vologda Aviation Enterprise, 51 percent in Vostok Aviation Co, 35 percent in Voronezhavia, and nine percent in Chitaavia.
The government's 51 percent stake in Aeroflot is however not on the list as earlier plans for privatisation have been postponed repeatedly.
Latest plan announced includes a floatation of the government's shares by next year in connection with Aeroflot's admission into the SkyTeam alliance.
