JUN 23, 2005 (newstodate): Capitalising on its experience with operating Fokker 100 aircraft, Podgorica-based Montenegro Airlines has signed a contract with Aeroflot-Don for training and transfer of know-how.
Montenegro Airlines currently operates a fleet of five Fokker 100 aircraft, leased from Debis Air Finance, while Aeroflot-Don has decided to acquire 10 Fokker 100, the first three of which will be delivered by September this year.
Under the contract, Montenegro Airlines will provide training of engineers, air mechanics, and cockpit and cabin crews.
Montenegro Airlines has earlier provided similar services to a Libyan operator, while the carrier currently has placed one Fokker 100 aircraft on a three-years wet-lease arrangement with the Albanian airline Albatros Airways.
