The significant increase to 81.7 tonnes against 66.6 tonnes in May last year was however still not enough to counterbalance the decrease over the period January-May where volumes were down by 3 percent to a total of 352.9 tonnes.
The carrier's mail transportation fared better, up 8.8 percent during January-May, totalling 214.2 tonnes.
In May, mail volumes increased by 11.6 percent to 42.4 tonnes.
