JUN 10, 2005 (newstodate): The Georgian Air Navigation authority and the British Astac International Ltd. have agreed to set up a joint training center for air traffic controllers.
The center will be established at Tblisi and equipped with state-of-the-art training and air traffic simulation equipment.
Besides focusing on training ATC staff for Georgia's own use, the center also plans to offer training for ATC controllers from neighboring countries in South Caucasus and other markets in the region.
